and just throwing this out there, the irish LOVE halloween. holy smokes. rumor has it they invented it? i don't know if that's the correct word, but i guess they were the first to celebrate it like we do today. again, not entirely sure this is true, but it's nice to think it is. either way, everyone was so into it - shops were decorated, people came up with the most creative costumes (take a hint america. creative, NOT slutty), and the whole town was out to celebrate. two of my friends who are studying in florence were in town visiting, and we most definitely joined in on the fun. sadly our night was cut kinda short due to some unfortunate rain (we shouldn't have been surprised) and ridiculously high cover charges to get into typically free places. 10 euros? see ya never.
counting down the minutes until crepes, wine, neutral tones, museums, and eiffel. eeeek!!
